L. J. Institute of Computer Applications has been envisioned as a key player in Computer Application education and professional development by promoting creativity, scholarship, innovation and excellence since its inception in 2004. For realization of its vision the Institute is guided by its Quality Policy which prompts all stakeholders to strive for perfection within limits. The Institute also has the responsibility of coordinating the MCA programmes of L. J. Institute of Management Studies (2007) and L. J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (2008). Along with MCA course the institute offers 5 year Integrated MCA & M.Sc.(IT) courses and 2 years M.Sc.(IT)course. All these constitute the brand LJMCA pursuing common policies, systems and processes, and sharing common values and resources.
The students joining the Institute's MCA programme are treated as Professional Trainees. We try to bring change from one-sided development of personality to all round development of personality (skill, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual) in our students.
MCA and M.Sc.(IT) are primarily a skill-oriented programmes with greater emphasis on acquisition of necessary skills. Skills can be acquired by practicing, and can be taught by making the learners do things. At LJMCA we try to build our youth skilled, self learner and tech friendly. Keeping these in view, the institute has put in place a number of systems and processes like software factory, On demand exam etc. Further, the Institute's programmes and processes ensure that the learners imbibe values and attributes which are crucial for successful career. Special emphasis is laid on honesty, discipline, sincerity, punctuality, conceptual clarity, critical thinking, practical knowledge, effective soft skills, innovativeness and ethical concern.
