Programs at Department of International Affairs
LJDIA has various international programs which help the students to travel overseas while pursuing their course here in LJ University.
Dual Degree Program
A
dual degree programme involves a student working for two different university
degrees in parallel, either at the same institution or at different institutions,
may be in different countries, completing them in less time than it would take
to earn them separately. The two degrees might be in the same subject
area or in two different subjects.
Summer Work and Travel Program
The Summer Work and Travel program provides foreign students with an
opportunity to live and work in the United States during their summer vacation
from college or university to experience and to be exposed to the culture and
way of life in the United States.
Pathway Program
A pathway program allows international students who want to study
abroad. These programs last up to a year and generally offer “conditional
acceptance” to the college or university they are affiliated with. This means
that students who finish the program with acceptable English language skills
and a high enough GPA are automatically accepted into the affiliated school.
Faculty Exchange Program
Faculty exchange programs would provide faculties with the opportunity
to teach or conduct research for one semester, one week or one month at an
overseas university.
Joint Research Program
Joint
research is a system which can be expected to produce more
creative research outcomes by establishing
common research themes with private companies, universities, and
public research institutes and
promoting research cooperatively while exchanging opinions from a
standpoint of mutual equality.
