Introduction

On 8th February, LJ University organized a noble and life-saving initiative – the Blood Donation Drive – in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society. This impactful event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to encourage students, faculty, and staff to contribute to this vital cause. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with a steady stream of donors volunteering throughout the day.

Before donating, each participant underwent a preliminary health check-up conducted by medical professionals to ensure the safety and success of the donation process.

A total of 21 individuals, including faculty members, staff, and students, successfully donated blood during the drive.

 

Objective

The primary objective of the Blood Donation Drive was to promote voluntary blood donation and highlight its life-saving significance. It also aimed to foster a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among participants.

Logistics & Support

The venue was thoughtfully prepared with:

• Comfortable and hygienic donation stations

• Well-trained medical staff from the Indian Red Cross Society

• Refreshments for all donors

Student volunteers played an essential role in organizing the event, assisting medical teams, guiding donors, and ensuring smooth logistics.
