Skill Enhancement Beyond the Curriculum

Overview

Lok Jagruti Kendra University (LJKU) offers a wide range of Value Added Courses (VACs) across its constituent institutes to empower students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge beyond their regular academic curriculum. These short-term courses are conducted at the department level and aim to enhance employability, encourage innovation, and support holistic student development.

Note: VACs at LJKU are managed and offered by individual departments. Students are requested to contact their respective department coordinators or refer to internal announcements for course details and registration.

Objectives of VACs at LJKU

·          Bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations

·          Improve employability and professional skill sets of students

·          Foster interdisciplinary and experiential learning

·          Support innovation, entrepreneurship, and certifications

·          Enable students to explore contemporary and emerging domains

Delivery and Certification

·          Conducted by faculty members, industry experts, or certified trainers

·          Scheduled during semester breaks, weekends, or short modules

·          Certificates issued upon successful completion by the respective department

·         May include practical sessions, assessments, and real-world projects

Departmental Coordination

Each institute under LJKU independently organizes VACs based on the academic needs and emerging trends in their field. Students are encouraged to stay updated through departmental notice boards or by directly contacting VAC coordinators.
