Tree Plantation Program - 2024

To promote environmental awareness and sustainability, the department of MSc.IT. organized a Tree Plantation Program, at Lok Jagruti Kendra University (LJKU) on 13/07/24. Students and faculties gathered enthusiastically to plant neem trees on the campus premises, to enhance air quality, enrich the soil, and provide shade benefits.

Participants, including the gardeners, planted 30 neem trees, ensuring each was watered and secured properly. The drive aimed to enhance the campus green cover and foster a sense of environmental responsibility among students. 110 students participated in the event, all dressed in white T-shirts. The program was organized under the supervision of the Head of the department, MSc.IT., Dr. Jignesh Doshi, and Dr. Dhaval Patel. A follow-up and maintenance schedule was also set up to ensure the long-term health of the trees, showcasing the dedication to environmental care and community engagement. Special thanks to Dr. Anuradha Acharya, Associate Professor, MSc.IT., for her support and guidance in executing the event.
