Program Structure
The Program has been developed by well-known academicians and senior professionals from the development sector itself. Unlike other programs that are around 1250 hours, this Master’s degree has a curriculum spanning 1500 hours, which gives it an equivalence to a Master’s degree of any reputed foreign university. This program also aims to develop well rounded, thorough professionals with strong skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for working in the development field and providing leadership in executing the projects ranging from the grass-roots to policy formulation and advocacy, besides creating dynamic social entrepreneurs. Program Duration
The duration of the programme is two years divided into four semesters. In all, the students will be imparted 1500 hours of inputs, unlike 1250 hours in most PG Programmes, to maintain equivalence with the foreign university in the US and Europe.
Eligibility Criteria
A graduation degree in any discipline like Agriculture, Arts, Commerce,
Science, Engineering, IT, Medical, Architecture, Agriculture, etc., with 50 per
cent marks. Some work experience of one-two years will be an added advantage.
Those who have appeared in their final year examinations can also apply.
However, admission will be granted subject to clearing their final examination.
Candidates with a professional degree like CA, CS, etc., are also eligible.
Fees
The fee is Rs. 75,000/ per semester (Rs. 3,00,000 for the 4 semesters or
the entire course) that includes tuition fees, course material, studios, summer
placement and sports. The University does not have hostel facilities.
Nevertheless, it has a contract with a large number of paying-guest accommodations
near the University Campus. University will facilitate such tie-up for
accommodation.
Admissions Procedure 2021 and Intake
The
University will have its entrance examination. The aspirants will be required
to take a written test followed by an interview. Based on the merit, the
admissions will be offered to the students. While the written test and interview
is expected to be off-line, keeping the pandemic in view, this year, the
admissions tests and interview will be conducted online. However, the scores of
the national tests like CAT, MAT, GMAT, and XAT will also be considered. Those
who are in the percentiles above 80, in these national tests, will be exempted
from the written test and will need to appear for only viva-voce.
This
year the intake will be restricted to a maximum of 30 students.
