Brief Summary:  

A guest session on  Eco-Entrepreneurship: Leading Change in the Age of Sustainability   was conducted for students of the LJ Integrated MBA – 5 Year Program. The session emphasized how entrepreneurs can drive sustainable innovation while creating profitable business ventures. The guest speaker highlighted key concepts such as green business models, sustainable supply chains, renewable resources, and social entrepreneurship. Through interactive discussions and cas es , students explored real-world examples of eco-entrepreneurs and strategies for integrating environmental and social responsibility into business decisions.  

 

Objectives:  

  • To create awareness about eco-entrepreneurship and its role in shaping sustainable business practices.  

  • To help students understand the environmental and social impact of entrepreneurial activities.  

  • To introduce strategies for launching and managing businesses that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices.  

  • To encourage students to consider sustainability as a core principle in decision-making and innovation.  

  • To develop knowledge of emerging trends in green business, renewable resources, and circular economy practices.  

 

Process:  

A  total of  78  students from Sem-1 Integrated MBA – 5 Year Program   registered for the guest session through a Google Form, which helped in planning and organizing the event. The session was conducted for  1.5 hours  and began with an introduction by the guest speaker, who highlighted the significance of eco-entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices. Students actively  participated  in interactive discussions and  analyzed  real-world case studies of eco-entrepreneurs. The guest explained strategies for creating sustainable ventures, including green business models, renewable resources, and socially responsible practices.   

 

Outcomes:  

  • Students understood the importance of eco-entrepreneurship and its potential to drive positive environmental and societal change.  

  • They learned practical strategies for creating sustainable ventures, including resource efficiency, waste reduction, and eco-friendly supply chains.  

  • Awareness was created  regarding  the role of social responsibility in entrepreneurial success.  

  • Students gained insights into emerging trends such as renewable energy solutions, circular economy models, and sustainable product design.  

  • The session inspired students to think innovatively about integrating ethical and sustainable practices in their future entrepreneurial  endeavors .  

  • Interactive discussions and case studies enhanced students’ ability to  analyze  real-world sustainability challenges and propose actionable solutions.
