LJ Institute of Pharmacy (LJIP), established in 2004, leading institute of Gujarat imparting quality education at under-graduation (UG) and post-graduation level (PG). The main mission of the institute is that students shall be equipped with knowledge skills and research aptitude.
LJIP runs B.Pharm. (at UG level), M.Pharm. (at PG level) and Ph.D. (in Pharmacy) courses. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated with Gujarat technological university (GTU). The college is approved by Dept. of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR) as Scientific Research and Industrial Organization (SIRO) and also recognized by other funding agencies including AICTE and GUJCOST. The institute has been the preferred choice by the students to pursue Pharmacy course since its inception through admission committee-ACPC. It has been ranked among Top-10 institutes GTU in almost all the sems. It stood 1st in all over Gujarat in Winter-2019-20 exam of 1st sem. In the recently published GSIRF (Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework) ranking it achieved 5th Rank among all the Pharmacy colleges of Gujarat with 3-star (***) rating.
LJIP is enriched with qualified faculties, out of which 17 have either acquired or are pursuing their Ph.D. degrees. Some of the faculties and students even have published and have provisional patents in their name. Many of the students also have provisional patent in their name with the help of the faculties. LJIP also has more than 250 national and international papers with its name. The faculties have research grants of nearly 12 lakhs from funding agencies to carry out research projects. They have also authored many books and book chapters in the field of pharmacy. The faculties are experts in E-leaning tools as they have acquired the needed skill sets for remote teaching, capable of taking online live lectures and live doubt solving sessions. They have uploaded video lectures on the institutional YouTube channel ‘PharmaIgnite’. LJIP has fetched grant of 22.40 lakhs to develop herbal based products from Govt. of Gujarat. LJIP has also encouraged research activities for students with commercialization of products being the core deliverable. Students have been trained to innovate novel products with special focus on Herbal Technology. With that vision, students of LJIP have also fetched grants of 4.36 lakhs from Govt. of Gujarat. To carry out such activities ahead we have MOUs with Inters pharm. ltd, VASA PharmaChem Pvt. ltd., Perry Pharmaceuticals, Sylvanus Bioscience, Sushen Medicamentos Pvt. ltd, Advantmed India LLP, Daffodil PharmaChem etc
LJIP believes in the holistic growth of students so the institute is also focusing on co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for which students take part in various seminars, workshops and conferences. LJIP also prepares the students for theatre, drama, singing and dancing competitions. LJIP was the first college to organize GTU youth festival at intra and inter zone level in 2012. LJIP was the winner at both intra and inter zone level in 2012.
