Academic Philosophy

Teaching Pedagogy

The school’s ideology for design excellence in Architecture is through integration of the core Design Studio with Construction, History, Theory, Communication Skills, Technology and Professional Practice.

This integration will be put into practice by encouraging students towards imaginative and skillful manipulation of form, as well as the capacity to draw inspiration from the different sections of the curriculum.

LJSA’s Design Studios will draw together the students and the faculties from Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architectural & Settlement Conservation, Sustainable Architecture, Infrastructure Planning and Habitat Management.

The idea here is to broaden the scope for the students and to make them aware about the boundless and expansive field of Architecture that lay in front of them at the end of the five academic years.
