Mode of Payment & Due Dates
For Semester 1, pay fees through the given QR code and mail the transaction receipt to phdsection@ljku.edu.in to receive your fee receipt.
From Semester 2 onwards, fees must be paid only through the LJ University Mobile Application.
Odd Semester fees (1, 3, 5, 7): payable from 1st July to 31st July every year.
Even Semester fees (2, 4, 6, 8): payable from 1st January to 31st January every year.

Please also take note of the rules stated below
- Classes of coursework will be organized at L J University campus in the evenings/weekends. 80% attendance is compulsory for appearing in the exam of coursework.
- Research Advisory Committee meetings will be held at University Campus; physical presence of the scholar is mandatory. Minimum of six, 6-monthly RACs should be completed before submitting the final synopsis.
- Coursework of 12 credits now onwards will comprise Research Methodology (generic), specialized research methodology, a Discipline-Specific Course, and one/two courses from SWAYAM / UGC recognized platforms. A review of a particular theory or research papers can also be given; however, if review is opted as a coursework component, an additional RAC (7th RAC) shall be convened to evaluate it.
- Ph.D. Scholars need to publish a minimum of 2 research papers related to their topic, indexed in Scopus/Web of Science/Hien Database/ABDC/EBSCO, and present at least one paper in an international conference.
- L J University offers a fee scholarship to L J University Faculty/Staff to promote research. To avail this scholarship, the faculty/staff member should continue with the University till completion of the programme. Although they will pay fees equivalent to those charged from others, the total scholarship amount will be refunded to the scholar on completion of the Ph.D. The tuition fee for L J Faculty/Staff will be Rs. 15,000/- per semester.
- Although the maximum time span for the Ph.D. programme is 6 years, scholars will pay fees for 8 semesters only before submitting their thesis.
- Non-payment of fees for 3 consecutive semesters will lead to cancellation of registration.
- From Semester 2 onwards, fee payment must be made only through the LJ University Mobile Application. Odd Semester fees (1, 3, 5, 7) are payable from 1st July to 31st July, and Even Semester fees (2, 4, 6, 8) are payable from 1st January to 31st January, every year.
