About this course
Computer Engineering is defined as the discipline that embodies the science and technology of design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer-controlled equipment. Computer Engineering is inter disciplinary field, both in its origin and application. Computer Engineering plays an important role in virtually all fields, including science, medicine, music, art, business, law, and communication, etc. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work but also how they integrate into the larger picture.
Computer engineer can design & develop software/web and mobile applications for different industries, manages the software, hardware and networks. They develop software for peripheral computing devices such as printers, modems and scanners, etc. They writes code and algorithms for operating systems like Windows, Linux etc. They also involve in the design and development of the hardware components of PCs & laptops.
