About this course

Electrical Engineering, one of the core discipline, which deals with the study of design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and their components, ensuring quality, safety, reliability, and sustainability. The course focuses on the manufacturing of electrical equipment used in a number of sectors including construction, building, production and distribution of power. This branch provides students with a wide range of fundamental knowledge in core disciplines such as control systems, power generation and electrical machines, etc. It deals with the renewable source of energy including solar, wind power.

Electrical engineers study and apply the physics and mathematics of electricity, electromagnetism and electronics to both large and small scale systems to process information and transmit energy. They deal with power generation, transmission systems. They design circuits for electrically operated vehicles, computers, digital devices, electronic memory storage devices, industrial robots and CNC machines.

 Scope

The career path in the electrical field is great and interesting just like in electronics engineering since they are interrelated courses. You can have a wide range of places to work as an electrical engine, an electrical designer, work in the electricity boards or consulting services, all in both private and in government circles.

The field is huge and will continue expand as more and more gadgets are manufactured in their tons yearly. All companies have electrical, electronics and IT units where for sure, an electrical engineer would be needed. Electrical Engineers can secure jobs in power distribution companies, power plants, railways, metro rails, the aviation sector and, manufacturing sector.
